Grassroots Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk & Soul Festival
Applefest
Supporting self-funded grassroots music in Bath
Set in the heart of Bath at the historic Green Park Station, Applefest returns for another vibrant celebration of music, art and community. Applefest is a completely crowdfunded, free-to-attend day festival built on one simple idea: bringing students and the wider Bath community together through live music and art. With acts running from 2-11pm across 2-3 stages spread across the covered station space, the festival creates a vibrant and welcoming community fair atmosphere for around 400 attendees. This year’s line-up will showcase an eclectic blend of funk, rock, blues, soul and jazz, performed by a carefully curated mix of student talent and established local bands. Headliners are still to be announced and applications to perform are open.Beyond the music, Applefest celebrates Bath’s wider creative scene. Visual artists will exhibit their work throughout the station, and official festival merchandise will be available, helping to support the event’s grassroots ethos.True to its inclusive spirit, Applefest is proudly family-friendly. Community fair-style games and activities will run alongside the performances, creating a relaxed daytime atmosphere where families, students and local residents can mingle. Local Green Park Station food vendors will be serving a variety of options throughout the day, and alcoholic drinks will also be available for those who wish to enjoy them responsibly.Applefest exists to give artists a free platform to perform and to strengthen grassroots music in Bath. The event proudly supports Music Workshop, its local charity partner, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing creativity at a grassroots level.
