  • Jennifer Crook Acoustic Duo

Having won hearts of audiences in both the UK and Canada, Jennifer is joined by Stuart Bruce on acoustic bass for this intimate show. First class musicianship, engaging stories, and songs of great beauty and emotional depth - delivered with energy, warmth and humour. “beautifully crafted lyrics” “great songwriting” (Maverick)

Jennifer Crook writes songs that are both timeless and right on time. Her fifth album The Broken Road Back Home acclaimed as “one of the year’s best albums” (FOLKING.COM) and “particularly impressive” (THE ARTS DESK) was co-produced with Stuart Bruce (Loreena McKennitt, Madeleine Peyroux). Rich with poetic imagery and earthy wisdom, its recent release on vinyl proves to be the perfect format for her classic songwriting.

Jennifer’s finely crafted albums have been praised by BBC Radio 2, Bob Harris, Mark Radcliffe and the folk and national press. Collaborations encompass Eddi Reader, Boo Hewerdine, Nashville’s Darrell Scott, Beth Porter (Spell Songs) and many others. Her song Sea Glass written for Miranda Sykes and described as ‘deeply poignant’ by Fatea is included on Roots 2 – The Best of Show of Hands.
